“You were your child’s first teacher.  That alone makes you the most influential educator in his or her life.”
-Donna Stifler-

Donna Stifler is a Republican candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates District 35A.

Donna was born on February 24, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. She moved to Harford County when she was six and attended Harford County Public Schools. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1983 and from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in August 1987. She continued her education in 1997 with classes in education from Moody Bible Institute.

After graduating from NCSU, she worked in Annapolis for a major pharmaceutical firm as a sales representative. In 1988, she moved back to Bel Air where she continued her career as a pharmaceutical representative for the next eight years. During her tenure as a pharmaceutical sales person, she was promoted to Field Sales Trainer and earned both District and Regional Sales awards. She retired from the field in 1996 after the birth of her second daughter.

For the next five years, Donna was a full-time mom. During her time as a stay-at-home mother to her two young daughters, she began taking correspondence classes in teaching through Moody Bible Institute. In September 2001, when both her children were enrolled in school full-time, she became a fifth grade teacher.

Donna’s involvement in her community spans several areas of interest. She has volunteered for Harford Habitat for Humanity as a Special Events Chairperson and for the Cal Ripken World Series in Aberdeen. She is founder and director of the Bel Air High Foundation, a non-profit organization designed to raise private funds for the benefit of her alma mater, Bel Air High. Donna is the Community Relations Chairperson for the Harford County Republican Women, and is also a member of the Republican Club of Harford County. Finally, The Donna Stifler Campaign Fund is a member of The Harford County Chamber of Commerce.

Donna and her husband Tom, a life-long resident of Harford County and fellow graduate of Bel Air High, live in Forest Hill with their two daughters. Tom owns Triad Mechanical Services, Inc., a commercial and industrial heating and air-conditioning company. Donna and her family are active members of their church, Mountain Christian Church, in Joppa.
